  • Appendix F - 4(f) Evaluation
    Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act of 1966, as amended, (49 United States Code (USC) 303) states that the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) may not approve the use of land from a significant publicly owned public park, recreation area, wildlife or wildfowl refuge, or any significant historic site unless a determination is made that: there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the use of land from the property; and the action includes all possible planning to minimize harm to the property resulting from such use.
