UPDATE: POWER OUTAGE KNOCKS OUT METRO PHONE SERVICE AND COMPUTER SYSTEM APPLICATIONS

METRO is working to restore its phone service and computer system applications affected by a power outage that happened at its headquarters around 8:30 a.m. this morning.

As a result of the outage, METRO's call center is currently unavailable. However, METRO's Web site is available. Customers are encouraged to use the Google trip planner feature on the website, www.ridemetro.org, to plan their trips.

METROLift customers can call 713-750-4225 for information. However, please note customers may have to try the number more than once to get through.

METRO appreciates its customers' patience while this issue is being resolved.
